NO HARPS IN HEAVEN Forward As I begin this story on the joy we, as the blessed redeemed by Jesus, will have in the very near future I find myself grieving over what will be happening here.
Every time I see a movie or documentary on the devastating disasters by weather, disease, asteroids and wars I weep when I think of the millions and probably billions that will be killed during the seven horrific years of the Tribulation for it will be much more horrible than any movie or documentary depiction can even imagine or surmise. It will be so bad only a remnant will remain. Some estimate that only a few million out of almost seven billion will be left.
I cry a lot lately thinking about it. If it grieves me, think how the heart of God the Father and Jesus must be grieved knowing what is about to happen. Truly Jesus must weep in anticipation. Sin must be judged but that judgment will not be given with pleasure, but of necessity. I believe it is the tears of Jesus that will be dried, not ours. He knows what it is to live in a human body on this earth.
So many relatives and friends will be left behind because they refuse to listen or because perhaps we didn’t bother to tell them.
Know that the hour draws near as you see violence, earthquakes, rumors of wars and other great changes in weather and governments take place. It truly is becoming as it was in the days of Noah.
Look up for your redemption draweth nigh. Warn your friends and loved ones of what is coming. Perhaps they will listen this time.
Jesus characteristics after His Resurrection We will have the same at the Rapture or ascension
Definition: Rapt: from thesaurus: Enraptured carried away, transported, rapturous, ecstatic Rapture: transport, heaven, bliss exultation Ascend: rise, arise, climb, surmount, scale, surmount, levitate, soar, escalate Ascent: Climb rise, ascension, progression GOD'S
PROMISES OF REVELATION
1Th 4:13 But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 1Th 4:14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 1Th 4:15 For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep. 1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the archangel's call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first; 1Th 4:17 then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord. 1Th 4:18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
The actual word Rapture does not appear in Scripture. It literally means, “catching away.” The rapture of the church is also called “the coming of the Lord” but never the second coming of Christ. At the rapture Christ does not appear visibly to those on Earth but He comes in the air above the Earth to catch up or rapture the dead and living saints who rise together to meet the Lord in the air. There are many different ideas about these two comings of Christ, which have made it difficult to distinguish one coming from the other. There are so many Scriptures that have been misapplied to the rapture and the second coming that one might readily see why there is confusion. The rapture is purely a New Testament doctrine and was first revealed to Paul as a special revelation (1 Cor. 15:51-58), while the second coming of Christ is not only a New Testament doctrine, but is one of the chief themes of the Old Testament. The Old Testament prophets never saw the New Testament Church, much less the rapture of the church. There is not one passage in the Bible that refers to both events as if they were one. They are two distinct comings separated by several years and not two phases or stages of one coming. The rapture takes place several years before the literal advent of Christ to the Earth, for his born again raptured believers will be coming back with Him. The Fact and Manner of the Rapture The fact and manner of the rapture are clearly revealed in the following Scriptures: “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye many be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man” (Luke 21:34-36), “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:1-3), “But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming…Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,….in a moment, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed….For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality….So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory…O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1Thess. 4:13-17), “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him…. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming” (2 Thess. 2:1, 7, 8). See the other passages on the rapture (2 Cor. 5:1-8; Phil. 3:11; 1 Thess. 2:19; 3:13; 5:9, 23: Col. 3:4; James 5:7, 8; 1 John 2:28; 3:2; 1 Pet. 5:4). Note: We (the body of Christ) are the HE or hinderer of lawlessness in 2 Thess. 2:1-8. The body of Christ is referred to as “he.” Christ is a he. Anti-Christ will not be revealed until we, the body of Christ, are gone.
At the rapture all saints will “escape all these things that shall come to pass” during the tribulation, and will “stand before the Son of man” (Lk. 21:34-36; Jn. 14:1-3; 1 Th. 4:16; 5:1-11; Rev. 5:8-10; 19:1-10; see Chapter 10), whereas at the second advent no man who is subject to punishment will escape (Rev. 19:1-21; Mt. 24:29-31; 25:31-46; 2 Th. 1:7-10). The rapture will take place before the revelation of the Antichrist (2 Th. 2:7-8) and before the tribulation and fulfillment of Rev. 4:1 - 22:21, while the second advent will take place after these events (Mt. 24:29-31; 2 Th. 2:7-8; Rev. 5:8-10; 19:11-21). At the time of the rapture no man on earth will know who the Antichrist is (2 Th. 2:7-8), whereas at the second advent all men on earth in the civilized parts will know who he is (Rev. 13:16-18). At the rapture the church and all others who are redeemed saints at that time will be presented to God in heaven (Eph. 5:27; 1 Th. 3:13; 5:23), while at the second advent all raptured saints will be presented to men on earth as their new rulers (Rev. 2:27; 5:10; 20:4-6; Dan. 7:9-27).
Why should some be protected while others have to go through the tribulation and be martyred? This is easily answered when we consider that at the rapture every one in Christ is taken up and there are no real Christians left at that moment. Those who are martyred in the tribulation are those who have refused to walk in the light and live “in Christ” and are not ready to go at the time of the rapture, else they would go as well as all others in Christ. They are saved after the rapture having realized by then their mistake of not heeding the many warnings to be ready at any time. They will become determined to be faithful even unto death, which will be their only prospect of having a part in the first resurrection. Those who are not martyred but are taken through the tribulation and are on Earth at the second coming of Christ will be permitted to enter the Millennium as an earthly people, and they will be a part of the subjects of Christ’s kingdom over whom the ascended/raptured saints will reign forever.
Much of the above information can be found in Finis Jennings Dake’s book GOD’S PLAN FOR MAN. Note: Christians are taken first, unbelievers are left behind.
1Co 15:51 Lo! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 1Co 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 1Co 15:53 For this perishable nature must put on the imperishable, and this mortal nature must put on immortality. 1Co 15:54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." 1Co 15:55 "O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?"
Note: Happens in a moment in the twinkling of an eye (too fast for eyes to see)
Purpose: To present the church to Himself and to the Father
Joh 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me. Joh 14:2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, so that where I am, you may be also. HEIRS TOGETHER WITH HIM Rom 8:17 And if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; so that if we suffer with Him, we may also be glorified together. Note: We will have the same attributes of Jesus after His resurrection because we are HEIRS together. He is the first born of MANY brethren.
Rom 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brethren. (that’s us)
CHARACTERISTICS OF JESUS AFTER HIS RESURECTION
1.He could appear and disappear: Mar 16:9 And when Jesus had risen early the first day of the Sabbath, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons. Luk 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. Luk 24:36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. Luk 24:37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. Joh 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. Joh 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
2.Change forms: Mar 16:12 After that He appeared in another form to two of them, walking and going into the country. Luk 24:15 And while they talked and reasoned, it happened that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. Luk 24:16 But their eyes were held so that they could not know Him. Luk 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. Joh 20:14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Joh 21:4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. 3. Speak to those living (not a ghost) Mar 16:14 Afterward He appeared to the Eleven as they reclined. And He reproached their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. Mat 28:9 But as they were going to report to His disciples, behold, Jesus also met them, saying, Hail! And they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. Mat 28:10 Then Jesus said to them, Do not be afraid; go tell My brothers that they should go into Galilee, and there they will see Me. Luk 24:25 And He said to them, O fools and slow of heart to believe all things that the prophets spoke! Luk 24:26 Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory? Luk 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself 4. Ascended back to God in Heaven: Mar 16:19 Then indeed, after speaking to them, the Lord was taken up into Heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. Luk 24:51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. 5. Given all power in heaven and in earth: Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth. Note: We will have the power He has. He will give us work assignments. We will not be playing harps and sitting on clouds. What we do will be fabulously interesting and we will have bodies that never tire and never have pain. We can move from one place to the other at the speed of a thought. Mat 28:19 Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen. 6. Can eat food. Luk 24:30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. Luk 24:42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. Luk 24:43 And he took it, and did eat before them. Joh 21:12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. Joh 21:13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. Joh 21:14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. Note: to those who have had to constantly watch their weight: One can eat and not have to worry about getting fat. 7. Proof of His BODILY resurrection: Luk 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. Note: He had no blood for it was shed on the cross. It is likely we won’t have blood either. The life is in the blood for flesh and blood people. At this time, our life will be IN HIM and blood will be unnecessary.
Also see the above scriptures. If He could eat and drink He had a body that could be recognized or not as He deemed necessary. Note: Since we are heirs together with Him we shall have these same characteristics when we are changed in the twinkling of an eye at the rapture or ascension.
WHEN?
1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail upon a woman with child. And they shall not escape. 1Th 5:4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the Day should overtake you like a thief. 1Th 5:5 You are all the sons of light and the sons of the day. We are not of the night, or of darkness. 1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be calm.
From Cutting Edge Ministries
“Let it be fully known that we do not take the Pre Tribulation Rapture position because we are not “courageous enough to go through the persecutions of the antichrist. This notion is nonsense, for one very simple fact: while the church will be spared the persecutions of antichrist, we will go through the final birth pangs which will produce the antichrist. See Matthew 24:8. When we go through wars and rumors of wars, nation rising against nation, earthquakes in many places, we will feel very much like we are going through persecutions. Some Christians will even be tortured for their faith. This is all going on NOW.”
Matthew 24:40-41: “the one taken and the other left is NOT THE RAPTURE! This refers to the separation of sheep and goats pictured in Matthew 25:33, with those left being the ones to enter the Millennial Kingdom.
Matthew 24:26 is not a legitimate barrier to knowing the Rapture time. It refers only to His Second coming when the days are shortened.
World events, national attitudes are seemingly coming into perfect alignment with what the Scriptures say will be the conditions surrounding the rise of the antichrist. This being the case, we believe that the Rapture is truly and finally IMMINENT. Are you ready to meet the LORD in the air?
IMMINENCE: He comes for those who look for him and delivers us from the WRATH to come.
1Th 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. End quote from Cutting Edge. The Saints Are With HIM at His Second Coming!1Th 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
MAN’S DOMINIONExcept from The Agenda
In Scripture, whatever is said about angels, demons, pre-Adamites and other creatures not of the present race and creation on Earth is limited to that which is necessary to reveal God’s plan for man.
The entire Bible message is centered around the complete redemption of man which includes ridding the Earth of all rebellion. The includes all alien/demon/fallen angel occupants of UFOs and any of their offspring. This so that the New Heavens and New Earth and the original state of the universal kingdom of God will be fully restored and God will be all in all eternally. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28; Ephesians 1:10 and Revelation 21 and 22.)
In God’s plan, we are now nearing the end of Adam’s rebellion. In Ephesians 1:11, it says, “Moreover, because of what Christ has done we have become gifts to God that He delights in, for as part of God’s sovereign plane we were chosen from the beginning to be His, and all things happen just as He decided long ago.” (Living Bible)
In Psalms 8:4-6, it says, "What is man that you are mindful of him and the son of (earth born) man that You care for him? Yet you have made him but a little lower than God (or heavenly beings) and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; You have put all things under his feet" (Amplified Bible) See also Hebrews 1:6-10 The inhabitants of the Earth must be judged for sin. This is why the seven seal judgments, the seven trumpet judgments, the seven vial judgments must occur during the seven years of Tribulation soon to come. God specifies how many will be killed in each instance and promises that there will be a physical remnant from every nation left alive to go into the Millennium. If human/alien hybrids are included, it can only be as in the parable of the wheat and the tares. They will be left to grow together, and at the end of the thousand years, they will be weeded out and burned along with other rebels against God. God is soon to send Jesus Christ with the armies( of which the Saints of God are part) of Heaven to defeat the armies of Antichrist and seize control of the Earth. This He will do in ONE DAY. (Zechariah 4:7) This will be for the express purpose of putting down all rebellion, so as to restore God’s sovereignty in all parts of the universe, as obtained before Lucifer and Adam rebelled against God. It was brought to my attention recently that Lucifer and his angelic followers have no redemption. WHY? They willfully sinned against God. Humans do not willfully sin. This may sound surprising. It was to me as well. Humans have been plagued by demons and the devil tempting and influencing them since kicked out of the Garden of Eden. Lucifer and his minions had no tempter pulling them away. THEY WILLFULLY SINNED and made the decision to rebel against God. They had never suffered any hardships as humans do. Never had suffered pain and illness and had the advantage of living in a perfect and beautiful environment and yet still willfully rebelled against God. For such there would never be any repentance and redemption. The armies of God and Satan will once again clash. This is when all rebellion will be put down once and for all. The Earth and the atmospheric heavens will be cleansed by fire. Mankind will be spared the same way the four Hebrew children were who were thrown into the fiery furnace. They escaped without even the smell of smoke on them. Saints, the redeemed ones of the human race from the time of Adam to the second advent of Christ, will be the future kings and priests under God the Father and Christ to reign over the dominion originally given to Adam. (Psalms 8, Isaiah 9:6-7; Daniel 2:44-45; 7:13, 18, 27; Zechariah 4; Luke 1:32-33; Acts 15:13-18; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Jude 14-15; Revelation 1:5; 5:10; 11:15; 20:4-6; 22:1-5;) The passage in Psalms 8 places man at the head of all God’s works, the heavens, including the sun, moon, stars and the Earth, including all living things. It makes him next to God in position and power over all creation. Thus Adam was originally made higher than the angels, but by sin he was brought very low and made subject to death. Now man is in his lessened estate (short of God’s glory, Romans 3:23) below angels. Christ Himself was made lower for a time to take man’s low place and raise him again higher than angels, as he originally was. Christ has been exalted again to a place higher than angels or any other being except the Father. Redeemed man is to be raised up to that exalted position with Him. (Romans 8:17-18; Ephesians 2:6-7; 3:8-10; 2 Timothy 2:12; Hebrews 2:5-11: Revelation 1:5, 5:10; 22:4-6) By now all those who have accepted Christ as their Savior and are in the ranks of the redeemed should be shouting for joy! The redeemed men and women who rule and reign with Christ will then have their glorified bodies. Israel will be ruled by the original, King David. The twelve tribes will be headed up by the twelve apostles. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords is Christ, Himself. Those left alive after the Tribulation will be able to live in their physical bodies forever. They will procreate to fill the Earth once again with the race of man. God must be recognized by all as the supreme moral governor of the universe. Until free moral agents of all kinds learn these lessons, they naturally are in ignorance of certain facts and need training. One of the chief reasons for God’s dealing with man was to bring him back to the place where he was before his fall. Having purged man of all possibility of falling in the future, God will place redeemed man in his original position of having dominion over all things. Thus, God does not have the slightest doubt as to the future of His plan for man. If all men were to see and understand this clearly, no outside influence no matter from whence it came, could persuade them that they were an inferior race. Please take note that these aliens/demons/fallen angels are trying to merge with us. They want to share in our destiny. They want the planet that God has made for us! No wonder some of them seem malevolent. We will someday rule over them! By creating hybrids that look like us, they hope to fool God into letting them be a part of the ruling class! Once again the parable of the wheat and the tares comes to mind. The fallen angels and the giants could not fool God and neither will these creatures.
ALL FREE WILLS MUST EVENTUALLY LEARN:
1. That God must be respected and obeyed. God’s eternal plan for man is known from the beginning to the end, and, what He plans to bring to pass on Earth, He has power to do. However, concerning the free actions of free moral agents, He does not know from all eternity what they will do before they are in existence and are here to have a part in His plan. He does not know which ones will be saved and which ones will be lost. He has made a plan for all to be saved alike; and all who conform to His plan are blessed with the predestined blessings. Those who willfully rebel will be cursed with the predestined punishments according to plan. IT IS THE PLAN THAT IS KNOWN FROM THE BEGINNING TO END, not the individual conformity to it by free moral agents. It is left up to each person to choose his own destiny. God wants all men to be saved, but if man does not choose to be saved, that is his responsibility. 2 Timothy 2:4; @ Peter 3:9; John 3:16; Revelation 22:17) MAN’S BODILY FORM Moses declared that man was made in the image and likeness of God. The Hebrew for image is ‘tselem,’ meaning model, shape, fashion, similitude, and BODILY resemblance, as proved in places where it is used. (Matthew 22:20; Acts 19:35; Romans 1:23; 8:29; 11:4; 1 Corinthians 15:49; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 10;1; Revelation 13:14-15; 14:9-11; 15:2; 16:2; 19:20; 20:4) This sheds some light on why these aliens/demons are so determined to look like us. The apostle Paul said that man was "the image and glory of God" (1Corinthians 11:7) These aliens/demons have been in existence far longer than we have. Some are fallen angels and some are the demons spirits of the human/angel hybrids killed during Noah's flood. GOD’S APPRAISAL OF MAN 1. God has given the revelation of Himself, His Creation, and His plan for man, so that man might know his origin, present responsibility, and destiny. The Bible is the record of this revelation. 2. God appraises man as the highest of creation.
MAN IS WORTH:
1. Making him lord of creation (Genesis 1:26-31; Psalms 83:8)
Why do alien/demons/fallen
angels cause people to turn from believing in JESUS or cause confusion in man’s
beliefs?
Judgment of the Believer’s Works What will we be doing during the years of hell on earth (Tribulation) that flesh and blood people will be suffering here? We will be with Jesus at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. What a celebration that will be!
Everyone has heard of people near death seeing their whole lives flash before their eyes. This will be the judgment of works when we enter into Jesus' presence. Some will have reward and some will not. Some will just make it. See below for the judgment of works. After this will come the great celebration called the Marriage supper of the Lamb. While the earth undergoes the horror of tribulation we will be having the greatest party of all time with Jesus. 1Co 3:8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 1Co 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 1Co 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 1Co 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1Co 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Rom 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Rom 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Basic works both good and bad result in reward or loss of reward but never the loss of one’s soul for any wrong doing properly confessed and forgiven. This judgment deals with the believers as a servant. Believers will be judged concerning: 1. Doctrines (Romans 2:14-16; Romans 14) 2. Conduct to others (Matthew 18; Romans 14) 3. Carnal traits (Colossians 3; Romans 1-2; 8:1-13: 14:1-23) 4. False doctrines 5. Envying 6. Bigotry 7. Personal ambition 8. Love of praise 9. Pride of denomination 10. Pride of talents 11. Love of authority 12. Love of God 13. Love of man
A man will suffer loss if his works are burned or not suffer loss if they are not burned. He himself will be saved if he is in Christ regardless of what happens to his works.
This what will happen to the believers in heaven after the Rapture/Ascension during the seven years of Tribulation on the Earth.
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Mar 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
Luk 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Luk 6:23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
Heb 2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; Heb 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
There is no way to know what jobs we will have when we come to Earth to rule and reign with HIM. Perhaps it will be the kind of work we always wanted to do. One thing I am sure of. We will not be sitting on clouds playing harps.
Thousand Year Divine Government Before there can be a divine government the devil must be chained…..
The Expulsion of Satan from the Earth
Rev 20:1 I saw an Angel descending out of Heaven. He carried the key to the Abyss and a chain--a huge chain. Rev 20:2 He grabbed the Dragon, that old Snake--the very Devil, Satan himself!--chained him up for a thousand years, Rev 20:3 dumped him into the Abyss, slammed it shut and sealed it tight. No more trouble out of him, deceiving the nations--until the thousand years are up. After that he has to be let loose briefly. Message Bible
This passage is the continuation of the Scripture on the Battle of Armageddon of Rev. 19:11-21 and shows the confinement of the dragon in the Abyss. After Armageddon an angel will come down from Heaven having the key to the Abyss. This angel is explained under the fifth trumpet. How an angel or a spirit can be bound by a literal chain and be cast into a material place is only understandable when we see that angels have bodies and can be localized and confined to material places.. If this is not true, how are demons that are now bound in this Abyss to be loosed under the fifth and sixth trumpets? How can angels be confined to Tartarus in chains (2 Pet. 2:4; Jude 6, 7) and how will all wicked men, demons, fallen angels and rebellious of all kinds be confined in the lake of fire forever? (Matt. 25:41; Rev. 14:9-11; 19:20; 20:10-15)
Satan is a literal person, his doom is literal, he is to be bound by a literal angel, with a literal chain, cast into a literal Abyss, and sealed with a literal seal for the period of the Millennium. In Revelation 12 the dragon and his angels are cast out of Heaven to the Earth in the middle of the Tribulation, where they will remain until the Battle of Armageddon when they will fight against Christ and His angels AND HIS SAINTS. It is not stated whether Satan’s angels will be cast into the Abyss with him or not. In Isaiah 24:21-22; 25:7 it is clear that they will be cast into the pit with Satan and will be loosed with him “After many days” to help him deceive the nations again (Rev. 20:1-10). THE MILLENNIAL REIGN OF CHRIST AND HIS SAINTS1Th 3:13 To the end he may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. Rev 20:4 I saw thrones. Those put in charge of judgment sat on the thrones. I also saw the souls of those beheaded because of their witness to Jesus and the Word of God, who refused to worship either the Beast or his image, refused to take his mark on forehead or hand--they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years! Rev 20:5 The rest of the dead did not live until the thousand years were up. This is the first resurrection-- Rev 20:6 and those involved most blessed, most holy. No second death for them! They're priests of God and Christ; they'll reign with him a thousand years. Message Bible
This passage shows that the tribulation martyrs will also have a part in the reign of Christ in the Millennium and forever. If there were no other passages in the Bible to teach the doctrine of the Millennium this one would be sufficient, for the word millennium simply mean “one thousand years” which term is repeated six times in the first seven verses of Rev. 20.
The thousand year millennial reign cannot begin until…. 1. Satan must be bound before the Millennial reign can begin 2. Satan will be bound during the Millennium (Rev. 20:3) 3. After the binding of Satan, John saw “thrones” and their occupants (Rev. 20:4) The occupants of the thrones will be the tribulation martyrs. They will reign as kings and priests with Christ as will all other redeemed heavenly peoples. 4. A blessing is pronounced upon all who have part in the first resurrection, for “on such the second death (the lake of fire, Rev. 2:11; 19:20; 20:10-15; 21:8) has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign one thousand years.” (Rev. 20:6)
GENERAL TRUTHS ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM
This dispensation is called Divine Government because God Himself along with the Son and Holy Spirit will set up a divine government on Earth over all nations forever. The first thousand years of God’s reign is called the Millennium which is simply means one thousand years.
One thing we must emphasize in connection with the 1,000 years: That this will be the first 1,000 years wherein Christ will reign on Earth. He will continue to reign over the same kingdom eternally; and the first 1,000 years will be for the express purpose of ridding the Earth of all rebellion, destroying all enemies, destroying death and sin, and restoring this rebellious part of God’s universal kingdom to its place over all other creations, as it was before sin entered through Lucifer and Adam who headed the rebellions of their respective kingdoms. In this , the Millennial age God will gather together all things in Christ both the things which are in heaven, and which are on the earth (1 Cor. 15:24-28; Eph. 1:10; Rev. 22:4-5).
In this age man will have a beginning more favorable than in any other dispensation. Besides having many of the wonderful benefits of ather ages, man will the God of Heaven for a ruler and enjoy all the privileges that such rulership will bring. The following points concerning the divine government and blessed conditions on the Earth during the Millennium will clearly reveal the favorable conditions in this dispensation.
God’s covenants with Abraham and David guaranteed to Israel an everlasting earthly kingdom and that they would be the channel of blessings to all the families of the Earth.
After the first resurrection the saints reign with Christ on Earth for 1,000 years (Rev. 5:9-10; 20:1-6). Therefore, the saints must first be resurrected before they can reign with Him. The 1,000 years are between the resurrection of the righteous and that of the wicked (Rev. 20:4-6, 11-15).
During this time Ezekiel’s temple will be built. (Ezek. 40:1-43:7). The reign of Christ will be set up in Jerusalem in Ezekiel’s temple, therefore, the kingdom cannot be set up until then. Christ will build this temple when He comes, but the kingdom naturally cannot be set up in the temple until it is built.
At this time Israel is gathered back from all countries. (Ezek. 20:33-36; 36:17-38; 37: 1-28; Hosea 3:4-5; Dan. 9:27).
The Jews will be delivered from the armies of the nations and become a blessing to all the families of the Earth.
After all of Rev. chapters 4-19 is fulfilled, for Christ comes in Rev. chapter 19-20 to set up the kingdom.
The kingdom will be as earthly and literal as any other one that has been on the Earth. It will be the ninth of the following kingdoms mentioned in Daniel and Revelation: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, Revised Rome, Revived Greece and the Kingdom of Heaven (Isa. 9:6-7; Dan. 2:44-45; 7:13-14, 17-27; Zech. 14; Rev. 17:8-18).
The Seventh Day Adventists and others teach that the Earth will be desolate during the 1,000 years and that this Earth is the bottomless pit where the devil will be bound for that period. There is not one word of truth in this theory. The bottomless pit is a department in the underworld for the confinement of certain demon and angelic spirits. Would Christ be ruling a desolate world? I think not.
God reigns through this theocratic government through His Son, Jesus Christ.
David will be king of Israel (Jer. 30:9; Ezek. 34:24; 37:24-28; Hosea 3:4-5).
The Apostles and ALL saints from Adam to the Millennium, or those who have part in the first resurrection will rule. All saints will be judged and rewarded according to the deeds done in the body and will be given places of rulership according to the degree of their rewards, not according to the company of the redeemed they are a part of, or the age in which they were redeemed. This is the only true and just basis for giving rewards. If some New Testament saint is rewarded and given a greater place in the kingdom than some Old Testament saint on the mere grounds that he is redeemed in a different age, this would be unjust. But if all are rewarded “according to their works” regardless of the age in which they are redeemed, then God cannot be accused of injustice or of being a respecter of persons. It is up to every person to make good in every age and prove true to his or her own particular test. David will have a greater rulership than any one of the apostles. He is to be king over all Israel under Christ while the apostles will have only one tribe each.
Some Old Testament saints did more for God and had more power than the average New Testament saint. Take an ordinary professed follower of Christ today and compare his works with Enoch, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, Elisha, etc. Shall the New Testament person be given a greater degree of reward and responsibility in the eternal kingdom than these men just because he is saved in a different age? This would not be just and it is contrary to the doctrine of personal reward according to a man’s works as proved in Prove. 24:12; Ps. 62:12; Jer. 31:15; Rom. 14:12; 2 Cor. 5:10-11; 1. Cor. 3:11-15; James 2:21-25; Rev. 14:12; 20:12-15; 22:12.
The Seat of Government: Jerusalem, rebuilt and restored to a greater glory than ever before, will be the seat of the government, the world capital, and the center of worship forever. The extent of this kingdom will be world-wide and will forever increase in population and blessings.
Various classes of people will be excluded from the kingdom (Matt. 5:20: 13:49, 50; 24:45-51; Rev. 14:9-12) Some men of all nations now in existence on the Earth will continue as natural people in the kingdom forever and ever. “All people, nations, and languages should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed” (Dan. &:13-14, 18, 22-27; Isa. 9:6-7; Zech. 14:1-21; Luke 1:32-35; Rev. 11:15).
After the battle of Armageddon and the judgment of the nations at the return of Christ, there will be many left of all nations who will go up from year to year to worship the Lord of hosts and keep the Feat of Tabernacles. It is these people and their children that will populate the Earth during the Millennium (Isa. 2:1-2; Zech. 14:16-21; Matt. 25:31-46; Rev. 11:15: 20:1-10).
WILL THERE BE LAWS FOR THE SUBJECTS OF THE KINGDOM?
There will be laws in this kingdom for the same purpose as in any other kingdom. There are laws even in Heaven and in all the universe. Adam was given laws to keep before he fell. Man will have laws to keep in all eternity after mankind has been redeemed from the fall, so why not during the Millennium? There will be sinners during the Millennium so God of necessity will have laws to make known His will to His subjects. It is necessary to have laws to set up certain standards for free wills, else there would be no need of a free will to choose between right and wrong. The very nature of a free will demands law and revelation of the will of God in order to be enlightened as to his duties to society to which he is a part and to cause his will to be exercised as to his moral obligations.
Many unsaved people will be permitted to live and go through the Millennium because they will keep the outward laws of the government, but in their hearts they will be rebellious against the government. On the other hand, many will be executed during the Millennium because of committing sins worthy of death (Isa. 11:3-5; 16:5; 65:20). There will have to be laws to govern such people during the Millennium else there could be no transgression of the law to bring judgment, if there were no basis for judgment.
WHAT LAWS WILL THERE BE?
The laws of both the Old and New Testament: the laws of Moses revealed the governmental plan and laws of God in detail which were sufficient to govern natural men regardless of their attitude toward spiritual things. When God gave the law to Moses He gave it in eternal terms thus emphasizing the truth that such law is eternal and should be observed by Israel forever. The law in some details will apply only to Israel in their land, for some of it was made only for Israel. The moral and governmental laws concern all nations alike. The laws of the gospel will apply to all men alike. God will adjust all matters when the kingdom is set up.
WHO WILL EXECUTE THESE LAWS?
Christ and the glorified saints, who have been made kings and priests as well as earthly rulers, will execute these laws forever.
WHERE WILL THE DIFFERENT NATIONS BE LOCATED?
The Gentile nations will perhaps live in the same places they do today with the exception of those who live in lands promised to Abraham and his seed for an everlasting possession.
The Jewish promised land is from the Mediterranean Sea on the west to the River Euphrates on the east, taking in all the Arabian Peninsula and the wilderness countries, south and east of Palestine (Gen. 15:14-18; 17:6-19; Ex. 32:13; Lev. 25:23-34; Deut. 4:40; Joel 14:29; 2 Chron. 20:7; Isa. 60:21; Jer. 25:5; Ezek. 47:13-23). [the Arab nations are not going to like this]
GOD’S PURPOSE IN ESTABLISHING A GOVERNMENT UNDER HIS SON:
Is to put down all rebellion in the universe (1Cor. 15:24-28). Being a just God He will not even destroy rebels without giving them a knowledge of the means of reconciliation to Him and giving them a chance to become reconciled. Hence the necessity of filling the Earth will the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. He will then have a just and recognizable basis of judgment against those who rebel and sin against the truth.
WHAT WILL BE THE LIVING CONDITIONS DURING THE MILLENNIUM?
Satan will be bound so there will be no tempter.
Universal peace. This means that there will be no taxation to keep up large armies and navies. “They shall beat their swords into plow shares and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” Class prejudices and other national ills will be forgotten because of the great turning to God by all nations after hearing the gospel. Spiritual revivals will break out in every land and all peoples will become one in serving the great king. The universal conversation will not be about wars, treaties, armaments, depressions, various forms of religion or government, or anything that makes up the common talk of today, but all peoples will be fully satisfied in peace and prosperity and will have no excuse to talk about anything but the goodness of God and wondrousness of His reign. (Mal1:11. Compare Mal. 3;16)
Universal prosperity. There will be no charity fund raised every year, no unemployment, and no poverty. The billions now spent on tobacco, alcoholic drinks, sickness, hospitals, cosmetics, crime, worldly amusements and many other things will supply everybody with plenty. The God of all will prosper anyone in any legitimate business and all will be capable of succeeding in life in all its varied aspects.
Financial system (Mal. 3:7-12) Tithing was the system before the law and under the law as well as since, so no doubt the same system will be used by the government of Christ in the coming ages. There will be plenty of money from such a system to balance the budget and have plenty to spare. There will be no corrupt politics or graft as Christ and the glorified saints will reign in righteousness and true holiness (Isa. 32:1-5). They will need no salaries as they will own the universe and all things will be theirs.
Full justice for all (Isa. 9:6, 7; 11:1-5; 42:1-4; 65:20; 57:15; 66:1, 2; Matt. 5-7). Crime waves will be a thing of the past. There will be no political, lodge, personal, or church pull in that day. The Lord and His glorified saints will try men and also judge them, thus assuring justice to all alike. If a man commits a sin worthy of death he will immediately be tried and executed. There will not be a thousand ways of staying execution or prolonging the trial. The law will be enforced to the letter as it should be under man today. Human life will be prolonged (Isa. 65:20; Zech. 8:4; Luke 1:33) Human life will be prolonged to a thousand years and then those who do not rebel against God with Satan at the end of the Millennium will be permitted to live on forever and ever.
Increase of light (Isa 30:26; 60:18-22). The light of the sun will be increased seven times and the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun today.
Changes in the animal kingdom (Isa. 11:6-8; 65:17-24; Rom. 8:18-23). All animals will have their natures changed. There will be no fierce or poisonous creatures. Things will be as they were in the Garden of Eden before the curse with the exception of the serpent who will still be cursed (Gen. 3:14; Isa. 65:25).
Land restored. All lands will be restored to a wonderful beauty and fruitfulness with the exception of the site of Babylon and perhaps a few more centers of great rebellion against God which will be used as object lessons to coming generations of God’s wrath against sin.
Love, joy and righteousness will prevail. The Gentiles will love the Jews who will then be the head of the nations.
Plenty of rain and water.
Plenty of trees, grass, cattle, sheep, gold, silver and other material blessings.
Rebuilding of waste places of the Earth.
Great highways.
Fruitfulness of women (Jer. 30:19; 33:22; Hosea 1:10).
These facts go far to prove that the seventh and last dispensation is to have a most favorable beginning and will be a better age throughout than any other age we have ever had. These days will indeed be the days of Heaven on Earth. (Deut. 11:21).
THE TEST (Ps. 2; Rev. 5:10; 11:15; 20:1-10)
The test of man in this dispensation will be to obey the laws of the divine government, to obey Christ and the glorified saints, and to mould one’s character in harmony with God by the Holy Spirit and the power of the gospel.
THE PURPOSE OF GOD IN THIS DISPENSATION
To put down all rebellion and all enemies under the feet of Christ so that God may be all in all as before the rebellion.
To fulfill the everlasting covenants made with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and others.
To vindicate and avenge Christ and His saints (Matt. 26:63-66; Rom. 12:19; Ps. 2 )
To restore Israel and deliver her from the nations and make her the head of all nations forever.
To exalt the saints of all ages in some kingly or priestly capacity according to the promises and according to their works.
To gather together in “one” all things in Christ which are in Heaven and in Earth and restore all things as before the rebellion.
To judge the nations in righteousness and restore the Earth to its rightful owners.
To restore a righteous and eternal government on Earth as originally planned.
To fulfill the scores of prophecies concerning the reign of the Messiah.
